ABOUT ME
ART WAS JUST
A HOBBY
My name is Yasmin, and I've been passionate about art since childhood. What started as a hobby gradually transformed into a deep passion as I explored various mediums, from pencil and paper to Copic markers. In 2017, I began creating digital art using Procreate on my first iPad, which sparked significant progress and the development of my unique style. In 2020, I upgraded to an iPad Pro, further enhancing my skills and fueling my creativity.
During the pandemic, I dedicated myself to daily drawing, solidifying my desire to pursue a career where I can work with my passion every day. Through my studies at college, I discovered a love for design in addition to art, and I am eager to combine both in my future work. My dream is to become a freelance digital designer, blending creativity with design principles.

EDUCATION
I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in
Digital Design from Glasgow Caledonian University. I was able to learn new skills and improve my digital design expertise, including motion graphics, illustration, animation, and branding. With my personal dedication and a solid understanding of the creative industry, I am well-prepared to pursue my dream career in digital design.
WHY YŪGEN

As a child, anime and manga had a significant impact on me, shaping my character and sparking a desire to one day experience the culture firsthand. Since my first trip to Japan in 2017, I’ve become deeply fascinated by its traditions, culture, food, language, and especially its beautiful environment, which heavily inspires my work. Many japanese terms and traditions have formed my character but one term that particularly stuck with me is
YŪGEN
a profound awareness of the universe which triggers feelings too deep and mysterious for words.
